Xth European Multicolloquium of Parasitology (EMOP X), Paris, France, 24-29 August 2008.

EMOP is among the most important events for the European parasitologists. The aim of the organisers of EMOP X is to propose a multidisciplinary approach to discuss the latest results of parasitology research. Several issues are of central concern: the role of parasites and their vectors in sustainable interactions within ecosystems; the considerable load of parasitic diseases on human and animal populations; the most recent breakthroughs in prophylaxis, epidemiology, diagnosis and therapeutics; the impact of global changes on parasitic systems.
